CONTACT held its Annual General Meeting on Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at CONTACT Community Services in Alliston.
Highlights included a report on the year’s activities and the election of the new board of directors for 2014/2015.
The newly elected directors are as follows:

- Gloria Lynn, Secretary/Treasurer
- Sandy McAulay, Board Member
- Dorothy Ramsay, Board Member
- Beth Seaborne, Board Member

The purpose of the meeting is:
- To receive the consolidated financial statements of the organization for the fiscal year ending March 31, 2014 together with the auditor’s report therein
- To elect the directors of the organization for the ensuing year
- To appoint the auditors of the organization
- To approve proposed changes to the By-laws of the organization
- To transact such other business as may properly come before the meeting or any adjournment thereof

The CONTACT Board Bylaw Committee has worked very hard to update the Bylaws to comply with the Canada Not-For-Profit Corporations Act Legislation.

CONTACT Community Services is pleased to announce that its first ever Charity Car Wash was a huge success thanks to the generous support of Willies Car and Van Wash, located at 583 Victoria Street East, Alliston.
From March 24 to March 27, 2014, Willies Car and Van Wash donated one dollar from every car washed to CONTACT.
The fundraiser raised $844.00 and will support CONTACT’s local community programs and services.
Spring is FINALLY just around the corner and The Clothes Line, 55 Victoria St. W., Alliston, is holding their Annual End of Winter Sale.
From Mon., March 10 to Thurs., March 13 drop by the store for amazing daily specials.
From Fri., March 14 to Tues., March 18 all winter clothing including shoes and purses will be 50% off.
Then, from Wed., March 19 to Sat., March 22 you can stuff a bag full of winter clothing for only $5.00!
The Clothes Line will close at 2 p.m. on Sat., March 22 and reopen with their new spring/summer line on Mon., Mar., 24.
The Clothes Line is located in downtown Alliston at 55 Victoria Street West, and is open Monday to Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Clothes Line is a non-profit thrift store that provides a valuable community service by collecting and selling good quality used items at affordable prices.
Proceeds from The Clothes Line support CONTACT’s community programs and services.

Thanks to the amazing response to our Coats for Kids Drive from the community, we have received a wide range of donated children’s winter coats, mitts, hats, and other winter items for those in need in our community!
From now until November 22nd, 2013, local families in need of winter coats for their children can drop by The Clothes Line during regular store hours to pick up what they need.

With the cold weather fast approaching, CONTACT and The Clothes Line are asking the community to help keep a child warm this winter by donating to its annual Coats for Kids Drive.
Starting Monday, October 21, 2013 and running until Thursday, October 31, 2013 donations of good quality, new or gently used children’s coats, hats, scarves, and mittens can be dropped off The Clothes Line, 55 Victoria Street West, Alliston.
Please note that donations will only be accepted during regular store hours:
Monday to Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Saturdays: 10:00 a.m .to 4:00 p.m.
Please make sure to clearly mark your donation as “Coats for Kids”. Store volunteers and staff will be available to accept donations for the Drive.
For those in need of children’s winter clothing, donated items will be available for pick up at The Clothes Line from Friday, November 1, 2013 to Tuesday, November 12, 2013, during regular store hours.
CONTACT and The Clothes Line hopes that everyone will join them in making a difference in the community by ensuring that every child has a warm coat to wear during the cold winter months.
